Terms of use

The operating rules for GOODHORSES.

These terms govern use of GOODHORSES.com, seller accounts, listings, horse profiles and QR services.

Effective: August 2, 2026

Plain-English summary:

GOODHORSES presents horse listings and connects buyers directly with sellers. We do not own the listed horses, inspect every horse, guarantee seller claims, process the horse sale or act as escrow. Buyers and sellers must independently verify the horse, the person and the transaction.

1. Acceptance and eligibility

By using GOODHORSES, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. Sellers and account holders must be at least 18 and legally able to enter a binding agreement.

2. Marketplace role

GOODHORSES provides advertising, presentation, search, sharing and QR-profile services. A horse transaction is solely between buyer and seller. GOODHORSES is not a party to the sale and is not an agent, broker, auctioneer, veterinarian, trainer, inspector, payment processor, escrow provider, shipper or insurer.

3. Seller responsibilities

Sellers represent that they own the horse or are authorized to advertise it; all information and media are accurate and lawfully provided; material facts are not intentionally omitted; and the listing complies with applicable law. Sellers must promptly update availability and mark a horse sold when appropriate.

4. Buyer responsibilities

Buyers must independently verify identity, ownership, registration, condition, soundness, maintenance, performance, suitability, location, price and transaction terms. Buyers should arrange an appropriate independent inspection and veterinary examination and use a written purchase agreement.

5. Listing review and moderation

GOODHORSES may approve, reject, edit for formatting, suspend, remove, preserve or refuse any listing or account. Approval means only that a listing passed GOODHORSES presentation review; it is not verification or endorsement of the horse, seller or claims.

6. Prohibited conduct

  • Fraud, impersonation, stolen horses, unauthorized listings or deceptive claims.
  • Materially false or intentionally incomplete soundness, maintenance, ownership or performance information.
  • Malware, scraping, automated abuse, interference with site security or attempts to access another account.
  • Harassment, unlawful discrimination, illegal activity or content that violates another person’s rights.

7. Content license

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant GOODHORSES a worldwide, nonexclusive, royalty-free license to host, copy, format, display, distribute and promote that content as necessary to operate and market the listing and GOODHORSES service. You confirm you have the rights needed to grant this license.

8. QR profiles and links

A GOODHORSES QR code links to a digital profile. GOODHORSES may change routing, mark a profile sold, archive content, suspend access or remove a profile for operational, legal or safety reasons. Do not represent that a QR code guarantees authenticity, condition or availability.

9. Fees and future services

Any fees will be disclosed before purchase. Future paid features may have additional terms. Unless expressly stated otherwise, GOODHORSES does not collect or hold the purchase price for a horse.

10. Disclaimers

GOODHORSES is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, GOODHORSES disclaims warranties concerning listings, sellers, buyers, horses, transactions, availability, accuracy, fitness, merchantability and non-infringement.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GOODHORSES and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages; loss of profits, data or opportunity; injury, illness, death, property damage; or losses arising from a horse, listing, user, inspection, payment, transport or transaction.

12. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify GOODHORSES and its operator from claims, losses and expenses arising from your content, listing, conduct, horse, transaction, violation of these Terms or violation of another person’s rights.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Nebraska law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute not resolved informally must be brought in an appropriate court located in Nebraska, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
